A retro joint

A message from corporate headquarters:
>
>I would like to thank all the members of the network and look forward to
>continued success and growth. What began from humble beginnings, has
>developed into a cooperative self-help juggurnaut with endless life
>changing potential. Remember, we are not limited to previous examples
>of philanthropic success and encourge the development of creative
>strategies to help others and provide needed humor.
>
>Our network is rooted in friendship. These strong bonds have been
>forged over years of laughter and celebration as well as unimaginable
>pain and grief. I take comfort in knowing I can call on every one of
>you to be there when I need you the most. This sentiment should be
>shared by all of you. As we continue to adapt and change to our lives,
>we may find ourselves living far apart from one another as well as
>experience things that others cannot understand. That should not
>discourage the advancement of our relationships. In fact, this should
>strengthen them.
>
>I recognize that Neat Tips may be posing a problem for those of you
>using corporate email accounts. The enthusiasm expressed (by most of
>you) has made responses to authors inevitable. Please continue to
>respond. I fear that many of you may get discouraged or frustrated by
>the "bulk" and I want to nip this in the bud before a problem arises.
>Please develop separate email accounts or devise neat ways to keep this
>going (i.e. chat rooms)if necessary. Losing a member of the current
>network is unacceptable. I will extend all resources at corporate
>headquarters to reduce this loss (please keep me posted).
>
>Sanity is a perceived notion of an acceptable level of control. Control
>is the ability to manage internal and external variables that make up
>our lives. External forces can dictate internal feelings just as
>dramatically as emotions alter our exteral environment. I am sane? Are
>you? I encourage all of you to take 1 minute this week to think of
>Pete. What do you think of? How do you remember him? He is not dead
>to my knowledge. Many of us made strong bonds with him over the years.
>Granted, Pete lied to our faces, left us hanging more than once, and put
>our friend Cris in danger. I am upset at him and wonder where he would
>have been if I really needed him this past year. He may be thinking the
>same thing about me. I promise to try one more time to extend my hand.
>If I get bit, I will pull an Old Yeller and not shed a tear. If anyone
>is with me, please give me a call. This message is not a cry for Pete,
>but rather for us. Please continue reading...
>
>Humor is fuel for the soul. I can comfortably say that many of you are
>the funniest people in the world. In fact, I would go so far as to say
>that shared humor is the supporting structure of love and is why we have
>developed an unrivaled group of friends. I hope this network has
>brought us closer and provided all of you an avenue to "workshop a bit"
>or to share a life-affirming tip. Thank you for your passion. I, as
>many of you have expressed, look forward to checking my email every day
>and hope this will continue. Thank you.

Emotionally yours,

Jeremy Allan Hager

I'd like to second that.
