Whenever, wherever (every once in a while) take the time to be, and/or feel alone.
In our futuristic lifestyle, solitude is lost to constant contact and ever present electronic emissions from any number of pocketed and/or belt clipped devices. The quietness of one’s own mind (disregard any and all of this if your lonely mind tells you to wear diapers and attempt to kidnap a rival) can allow the formation of new ideas and clearer thoughts.
I do not always advocate a solo mountainous excursion with only a bag of nuts. A brief moment of quiet meness can be found anywhere. Walking to your car, riding in an elevator alone, the first few minutes after waking, anywhere you find a brief respite from constant everyoness is a perfect time to realize what you think. Feeling alone for even a brief time will also give you a greater appreciation for those you have in your life that keep you from being truly alone.
This is not a call to start talking to yourself and move to a shed in Montana
