"Impossible Sir..its in Johnson's underwear"

Charlie...I apologize for posting over your Ween blog but I had to take a moment and pay some tribute. I do not have the time to spend on this subject that it deserves as my boss is waiting downstairs to spend the day with me, my boss who has the same exact beard that George Michael did in the 80's. Speaking of the 80's...one man truly dominate the 80's and we lost that man yesterday. John Hughes, a man who possibly shaped our generation more than any other director in my lifetime (I believe that) passed away at that age of 59. A man who was completely in touch with what it was to be a teenager filled with angst and insecurity died far too young. But like Mike Jack, the legacy and catologue he left behind will resonate for some time. The following is a sample of that catologue, it is mind blowing:

Mr. Mom
National Lampoons Vacation (and Europeon and Christmas)
Sixteen Candles
THE BREAKFAST CLUB
Weird Science
Dutch (A serious sleeper)
Pretty in Pink
Ferris Buellers Day Off
Home Alone
Some Kind of Wonderful
Plains Trains and Automobiles
The Great Outdoors
Uncle Buck
Career Opportunities

There are much more. I will enjoy these films till I join John in that great big weird 80's high school in the sky. And always remember "if you mess with the bull, you get the horns".

What's the 80's?

“The script for ‘Planes, Trains, and Automobiles’ was the best script I had ever read. When I asked John how long it took to write it, he said, ‘I wrote it over the weekend’. The weekend. That shows you what he was able to do.” -Steve Martin

“He was funny from the start. You know he began his career writing for ‘National Lampoon’…. A piece called ‘My Vagina’. Very funny. Right from the beginning. If you haven’t read it, you should find it.” --Steve Martin
