A good year. Although this is a title to a fine Russell Crowe film it is also my way of understating what has happened over the last twelve months. I don’t think its too early to reflect, I’ve been known to wax nostalgic over a previous night on the town like it was years ago proving its never too early to look back and smile. Its truly hard to sum up all that has gone down and trying to list all of the highlights, milestones, achievements, and memorable events would be pointless, maybe even impossible. The only way I can truly some it up is that we all friended very f*cking hard (friend as a verb gives me goosebumps, its perfect and the word friend, guised as a noun, has been missing out all these years on its true life’s calling).
Many of us kicked down the door to thirty and entered the room like a swat team on amphetamines. Needless to say we are all growns up but don't always act like it.

I look around and if I wasnt so damn cocky about what we are I might be amazed. It’s hard to not relish in all that is happening. Between the fathering, the husband and wife-ing (pushing it a little there), the overdue awards, the engagements (on further thought we need a beer truck on the island, need), the game winning threes from deeeeep, the promotions, and the sweater vest and cardigans running rampant, a commitment to excellence is all encompassing. If you’re like me and you get chills walking into the Wine Kitchen I think you know what I am talking about (but between me and you…I get chills walking into sev knowing they got that lifeblood).
Change didn’t just come in the form of a smart, reasonable man as president but I see it in us on the daily. In fact, someone recently snuck into my closet and removed all my old work clothes (tims, flannels, jeans, sweatshirts) and replaced them with a wardrobe sponsored entirely by Banana Republic. That’s change. Also, I have a new Eliza brown three-piece suit and tuxedo compliments of Bobbi (he got a guy on the real).
At the end of the day I might look back at this as the year the Yanks got CC or the year Eliza got a Jamaican dog walker, but I think we all know what went down. Proud of ya’ll on the real. Happy holidays. Good luck 09, you got your hands full.
And oh yeah, ACC champs. Shiiiiiiiiiiet!

You will be happy to know that 2008 last one second longer this year! leap second...so it doesn't have to end so soon on you shiz.
Truth be told. This news years is very special. The reason it is very special is because it is the last year where the two zeros in the year work perfectly for new years sunglasses (see the 2006 shza/keith new years photo in the post if you are curious what I speak of). Next years New Years the shades will have a 1, essentially a bar, in your left eye...not cool.
Its been a heck of a run though with the middle zeros, I took full advantage...and will once more!
2009!!
