Time of Death: very close

What can I say about The Neatness? It was great. It was a beacon on the web, bringing a little sunshine to my otherwise monotonous and stressful day. It was a way to here Hager shed light on a subject in a way no one else saw. It was a way to watch the Principe kids grow up from a far. It was a way for Paul to post fun pictures. It was a way for Mike to ruminate on controversial topics and footnote their actual meaning. It was a way for the Jason to share an antidote that really makes you think. It was a place for Chris Prosser to just be Bobbi. It was a way for me to make fun of Tbag5000. But alas, it is true what they say, all good things really do come to end. So, RIP neatness, you will be missed.

But wait, what is this?

A faint, solitary voice out of the darkness....he is calling...and calling in a shy quite only-when-drinking-but-almost-every-Sunday-I-see-him-kind-of-way, A Mr. TBG, a BoneYard, a already-got-a-name-picked-out-for-his-profile-and-is-dying-to-use-it, Ted. He is holding the paddles and is shouting CLEAR! He does not want the neatness to die, before he ever got to love her.

So, I ask of you. We all have a choice. Should we put her down, or should we put her in the hands of a fresh voice. The choice is ours.....

ADAD,
I think this post is a little premature. Yes, it is true activity has slown down on the neatness and it has also seen some dark moments (see owl on helmet) but I think it is too early to pull plugs. Although slow we have seen what the neatness is truly about over the last couple of weeks...a forum for us to communicate. Recently Staci posted a note being proud of her husbands amazing work. This post was preceded by a posting of a proud father. This is not to be taken lightly.

I have had issues with the neatness on times...I hoped it would be more than it is, hoped for a place that was geared towards writing...but I see what it is and why it is. Its a place where we can reach each other without a mass email. A place where we can share an idea, a funny story, or a proud moment in our life. We are not changing the world, by any means, with the neatness but it something we all have, collectively, that no one can take.

I don't understand the turn over to new voices thing....is that turning over the blog to others. Don't know bout that...

For the neatness...I choose life.

Life indeed. The Neatness is Shaqtastic and deserves to be left to its own device.

Here is an anecdote - Chris Berman is the worst thing to happen to sports for so long in a long time. Honestly.

Ted wants in. That is all I'm saying. Whoever has control, please invite your good friend Ted. Furthermore, Ted's new voice on the neatness might bring a new perspective and fresh voice to the otherwise wonderful world of neat.
