Alot of us are from the 2 up and 2 down and have a good idea of the people in the finest state in the nation. Some of the finest I have ever known. It turns out this fine state is "in play" for the election. That makes me tingle with excitement. I have a very pesimistic attitude about the southern part of our country...and also the heartland. I wonder how a black man known as "liberal elitist"* could get his message out to these people. The following link guides you to a New York Times Magazine article which gets into this. It also has a great picture of Obama talking to a dude from Appalachia VA with a butt in his mouth...classic.

A couple things:
-Register
-Vote, take nothing for granted
-Be a part of history
*It has and will always boggle my mind how a party which fights so hard for the middle class is viewed sometimes as the elitist group. I know religious views and positions come into play but McLaim isn't fighting for these people and yet they vote red. Crazy.
Off the soapbox and back to work....
