Unfunny.

Inspired by the previous post, and more particularly the comments, I have decided to conduct a social experiment based solely on the concept of not “getting it”.

We, the funniest people on earth (and cyberspace), possess a different brand of humor that is foreign by and large to the general populace. When together as a group, belly laughs are certain to ensue, as we all seem to “get it” together. However, this humor does not always translate well when applied in different settings. As presented early in Neatness history, we the funny adapt by “knowing our audience” and lubricate social settings with a more accessible brand of humor.

Today I will take another approach. I will attempt to be the one that doesn’t “get it”. I will attempt to remain confused and stand-offish in the face of the traditional, less-than-mediocre comedy that plagues the office. Most importantly, I will walk away plainly from situations that often require a small but false chuckle in order to avoid awkwardness. As this is surely a thinker’s game, I will find comfort in knowing that you all will “get” the idea of me not “getting it”, and I will laugh internally and move on.

Thank you all for your continued support and humor; I will see you on the other side of not funny.

Father

Ps. The guy in the comic clearly suffers from social anxiety. Other symptoms include whiskey-dick, talking to the tv about soap, and waking up in your own urine.

I purposely don't get you're not getting it, and will continue to do so for the sake of good comedy. Anyone who doesn't get not getting it should be kicked in shins and have their underwear pulled up and over the ears. Kaboom.
