Lifelong Battle with Zen

It is neat to try something new so I decided to endure a week of 90 min classes in 110 degree heat with more sweat and discomfort than anything I can recall, in my participation in a week long “test drive” at a Bikram Yoga studio. Yoga is not for the faint of heart, literally people will pass out in these classes. Personally, I sustained the biggest bruise of my entire life doing “Tree Pose” (above). It may not look like much but, in an effort to let go of my right foot, it slid down my super sweaty leg so that my foot slammed into my knee, crippling me for the remaining 20 minutes. Bikram will not let you leave the room until the end of the 90 minute class so, this rendered me helpless to do anything but lay on a matt, on the floor sweating, while my knee swelled up to the size of a baseball. All in all the experience somehow has still been super neat, despite the purple knee. I highly recommend giving something new a try, it might turn out to be even neater than this.

Old Kai dog Sandler might try this today……………………
