Something I Phound Neat

The Simpsons Movie is coming out tomorrow night and I for one am conflicted on this notion. My instincts tell me that I may have outgrown the Simpsons and its standard 20 min episode back in the late 90's, how can I withstand 87 constant minutes? Based solely on this logic the result is, I won't because it might suck. The conflict is that I want to like the lovable loser Homer and his dysfunctional yellow family, but what can anyone do when something goes stale to make it fresh again, aside from sprinkle with water and pop in microwave for 10 seconds? But then I came across some information that brought me back to the late 90's and my Simpson-loving ways. The Simpsons hyped the premier by holding a competition on which Springfield, (Il, Ma, Vt) should host the big party and ensuing hoopla... Springfield, Vermont won. Fine, fun, but here is where it gets good, Page McConnell made a special appearance and played the premier in an hour long set, teasing the Simpsons theme song all throughout Cars Trucks Buses. It's said that Mike Gordon even joined him on stage for a bit, ....at the Simpsons Premier. Fascinating, yes, but what does this mean? It means the Simpsons are cool, Page still has it, and I'm going to put in an early vote to rent it on my blockbuster online account when it finally gets to video!

Super duper neat! Still missing the band although I can always go for an up-top clav heavy page set. I am not a simpsons fan. I am a page fan and will support the movie accordingly.
