1) the first thunder & lightning storm in this house (it was shakin' and a rockin')
2) a mouse was trapped (and killed) in our silverware drawer, awesome.
3) a snow storm hit and it took me over 2 hours to drive home (manual) stop and go 10 mph from leesburg to Lovettsville, so bitter.
4) I had to shovel the driveway (6 inches of snow makes the shovel real heavy.)
5) a delivery guy rang the doorbell at 9:00pm at night, I didn't order pizza (I was convinced he knew I was home alone)
6) I told a utility guy Jason was out of town until Monday (I was convinced he then concluded I was home alone all weekend)
7) came home to large boot footprints in the snow leading up to my back door and then to my garage (completely convinced a large man was hiding in there to attack me, later found out Bart had come by and dropped off a box for us)
8) realized I was never scared living alone in Manhattan, but love my creaky house and the scary barn out back where serial killers and attackers live and sleep.
Welcome home boys, we missed you.

This post was a hell of a lot funnier before you guys had the travel day from hell. Sitting on an aircraft, having a long, than delayed, lay-over and now (again) stuck on an aircraft at Dulles without a gate...that has to be one of the top ten worst things that can happen ever. I am so sorry to the boys still on the plane. I hope you are all so tired that you are passing the time with sleep. By the time you are reading this it is long behind you and I hope you can move forward and just remember the fun that was had down in The DR. I'm sure some memories were made and good times were had. Can't wait to hear all about it, if you ever get off the plane.
